All workers likely to disturb asbestos in their day to day activities are required to attend asbestos awareness training and regular refresher courses
If the presence of asbestos is suspected, stop work immediately and follow decontamination procedures to prevent contamination or exposure to fibres. Report your suspicions for investigation.

Property owners, managers and employers all have a duty of care to safely manage asbestos and inform tenants, staff and contractors of the hazards.
